Youth Suicide Prevention Resources
If you’ve had suicidal thoughts and need someone to talk to, reach out to your primary care physician, local hospital, mental health agency, school guidance counselor or other trusted professional in your area.

Call the hospital and ask for the Access Center. There are trained professionals available to evaluate a youth for possible admission. Acadia is a psychiatric and chemical dependency hospital in Bangor with both children and adolescent services.
Youth Crisis Stabilization Program

A program of Community Health and Counseling Services, this hotline is staffed by professionals trained to listen to a person in crisis and help the youth, family, or friend take the appropriate follow-up action.

If you are outside the state of Maine, please call your local crisis response service or 911.
