Acadia Hospital Offers Family and Friends Eating Disorders Support Group
Bangor, ME -Acadia Hospital is pleased to offer a free, specialized support group for families and friends of individuals struggling with an eating disorder. This is an opportunity to gain knowledge about eating disorders and to feel the support of others going through similar struggles.
The group will meet at Acadia Hospital on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month starting October 26, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
This confidential group will allow families and friends affected by eating disorders to meet each other, share common struggles and learn new ways to cope with the challenges an eating disorder presents. It will also provide opportunities to learn how to support individuals who are struggling as well as self-care strategies for themselves, with a focus on providing support, education and resources.
