Monday, August 21, over 100 golfers gathered to play at Penobscot Valley Country Club and support The Acadia Hospital at the same time. The Swing Fore Life Golf Classic experienced another successful year thanks to the many sponsors, volunteers and players who shared their resources, time and talent.
The day, which included a scramble-format golf tournament, after-golf dinner, a silent auction and raffle drawings, raised $41,570 to help support Acadia programs and services. "The Swing Fore Life Classic is our biggest fundraising event of the year," said Acadia President & CEO Dottie Hill, RNC. "It is heartwarming to see so many individuals and companies come out to support our mission of providing mental health and substance abuse treatment to the people of Maine."
