The Close to Home Campaign website features important information on opiate
abuse and addiction, including a Fact Sheet for Teens and Parents and flyers
that can be printed and posted in schools, organizations or workplaces.
Additionally, you will find links to credible websites and additional
information to help you learn more about the negative consequences of opiate
abuse and how opiate addiction is affecting our state.
The Close to Home Campaign was created by the Acadia Hospital and its many
campaign partners to help educate people about the dangers of opiate abuse. Maine is currently
facing near epidemic rates of opiate-addicted individuals, especially among the
ages of 18 to 25, and we need to work together to prevent the problem from
getting worse. We believe education and access to help is crucial to the
long-term health of Maine’s
citizens.
