Welcome to the Pediatric and Family Center Construction Update feature of our website. The Center is being constructed to better serve the outpatient and educational needs of our child and teen patients and their families. This $1.2 million Center is made possible in large part due to the success of our first-ever capital campaign, Keep the Promise. We had over 300 individual, foundation and corporate donors to the campaign, so it was a true community project, and we are grateful for each gift, no matter how large or small.
The past week workers have focused on grading the construction site in anticipation of beginning the digging for the foundation. The crew has also been preparing to fence in the entire construction area, which has to be accomplished prior to digging the hole for the foundation. The cold weather and recent snowfall has not hampered the efforts of the crew, who have experience working in varied weather conditions.
